A multifunctional addition to the garden…
The client approached us with a request to redesign a garden house project, for which construction work had already begun. We therefore joined the project after the foundations and the adjacent natural pond had already been completed. The shape, dimensions and utility connections were already fixed. The client’s vision was to create a recreational space where he could invite friends over for poker nights, barbecues, movie evenings or family celebrations.
Multifunctionality became the central theme of the entire design. Above all, we wanted to create a setting for all kinds of leisure activities in the garden. The ground floor consists of one large, flexible room and a compact service area. It opens onto a spacious terrace that wraps around the house on three sides and is divided into functional, social and relaxation zones.
All three parts of the terrace are unified by a steel structure onto which various elements can be attached, such as a roof, shading devices, lighting or different types of hammocks. Upstairs, there are bedrooms and a bathroom for occasional overnight stays.
