Sport and beer

The main idea of the proposal is to compact the entire complex and create a natural social centre in the form of a newly designed piazzetta connected to the clubhouse. A key step is changing the orientation of the football pitch from east–west to north–south, allowing it to be more closely connected spatially and operationally with the clubhouse and the other activities within the complex. The proposal thus creates a clearer and more efficiently functioning whole, in which the various sports, recreational and social functions are interconnected.

The composition of the complex is based on a system of interconnected rectangular spaces, whose main elements are the football pitch, clubhouse, multifunctional court and piazzetta. The clubhouse is connected to a pergola with covered seating and a barbecue, which flows seamlessly into the paved piazzetta with red paving. This space is conceived as the imaginary square of the entire complex and forms its natural centre of gravity. The piazzetta connects to the multifunctional court, a spectator stand, parking and gravel-and-grass leisure areas. The sequence of sports facilities continues by connecting the multifunctional court to a skatepark and outdoor gym, and further towards the football pitch. The multifunctional court is enclosed by fencing that integrates a range of additional elements, including lighting, bicycle racks, basketball hoops, goals and workout equipment. The piazzetta is designed as a universal leisure space with sufficient capacity for cultural, social and community events.

The proposal is complemented by a green structure consisting of small groves formed by groups of two to five trees. These create pleasant micro-environments providing shade, shelter from the wind and a greater degree of privacy, while also incorporating various types of outdoor furniture to support the leisure qualities of the complex. Excess soil from the earthworks is used to create small undulations and mounds, enriching the space with a playful landscape element. In the more open part of the complex, a public fire pit provides another opportunity for informal gatherings, while in the southern part, beyond the footpath, a pump track is formed from the excavated soil.
