Three rooms. 40 m².

Sokol Kněžmost contacted us with a request to create a relaxation area in their existing building. A wonderful assignment. Sports. Rest. Warmth. Water. Relaxation. Bubbles. A spa. There was just one problem. We only had 40 m² to work with.
The entire design is a study of space—specifically, the ratio between square meters and cubic meters. It’s an attempt to find a layout that not only creates a comfortable, user-friendly space but also delivers a spatially rich experience that allows people to truly rest and relax.
The result is a fairly simple layout. Three rooms: a changing room with bathroom facilities, a relaxation room with a whirlpool, and a sauna with a cooling pool. All these rooms are unified by ceramic tile in the same color scheme and connected by a series of doors with large fanlights. However, each room is a different size, has a different layout, and is lit differently.
